Comments:

Building dimension is 360' along Carnegie frontage x 240' along E 89th, 243' tall.

Clarification was requested for the winter garden; a space artuculated from the Carnegie facade, on the second floor above the secondary pedestrian entryway. The winter garden space (illuminated at night) is protected from the weather elements on the sides (5 stories) but is exposed and open at the top. This design element provides a visually pleasing feature that can be enjoyed from 3 sections of the building.

Increasing the pedestrian connection between lobby and the green spine - suggestion to integrate a garden space for patients and family, more than just visual or a space to walk through getting from one point to another, but creating a place to pause, reflect, sit and enjoy, which is outside the building.

Adressing the issue of an Energy Conservation Plan - studying the efficiency of glazing used to reflect heat as well as as series of internal blinds or roller shutters.

A study of vehicular traffic patterns from the MM garage onto E 89th Street to eliminate traffic conflicts, which is underway. There is a recommendation for the project to be reviewed by RETBOT as the pedestrian bridge is over E 89th Street.

The overall responses of the committee members were positive considering the site, massing, and scale.
